what becomes

Stars fell from the sky +
silently slipped into the sea/
blind as they were/
as if to recover from some
atmospheric indifference.

{Can you imagine the arcs of illuminated surface?}

How long before absence
becomes the abyss?
Swallowing shipwrecks/
smoldering treasures/
how long can you hold your
breath?

{How long can the sky endure this loneliness?}

Can you endure the
absence
past the
envy
or
will you
succumb to the
suffering
silence?
